Beans, beans the magical fruit... (HOLY QUIRKINESS)

So, this guy was stealing pain pills called Lortab from this drug store in Mississipi (I think) and the owner of the store replaced the pain pills with beans! NO WAY!

The owner is so clever and quirky. There's no way the burglar wouldn't have noticed that they weren't his pain pills like, come on are you blind!?

Anyway, when he was escaping he cut himself and they saw a trail of blood leading away. He probably bled out. In fact, there was this one comment from user Old Guy saying "Hope the burglars bleed to death or maybe fart to death, hahahahaha" What a funny old guy.

Plans For Next Year (My Good King)

Well, I've never really given this much thought but I suppose it looks like I'll just have to work all year and gain a lot of money do a buncha muncha cruncha things and spend my money wisely or I could save it up and put it to better use.

Anyway, I guess my plans just really haven't changed all that much and I suppose that I've been planning this year of work for a year now and I guess I just want it to actually mean something. And if it's just a waste of a year I will surely be disappointed.

Well, this year has been a doozie that's for sure from killing lions in the caf to just straight up almost failing math this year has suprisingly been quite grand. Although it's not the best year so far.

Oh Sandy, don't make me laugh. Huuh huuuhh hhuuuuhhh

Washington of fun!

Washington in Grade 11 American History class was the best trip I have ever taken.

My friends and I took the long bus ride down to our first stop Gettysburg, the bus ride there was torturous because we had to watch Big Bang Theory which was the worst because it's not funny. Then we arrived at Getts and saw the old battlefield and the Battle of Getts diarama. It was pretty neato gang.

When we arrived in The Washington Mall, don't mistake it for a shopping center, we went and saw the Lincoln Monument first thing and then continued to walk don't the stretch of land toward the Capitol Building it was awesome. Later that week we gave some homeless guy some money, he appreciated it. Then later that day... he came back with a vengeance and asked again! We said "No."

The some chick was selling us The Onion (A terrible newspaper) and we filmed her and it was funny. Then we sat on a bench and filmed some kid acting acting like a duck. It was ... interesting.

Washington was awesome. Spending time with friends and exploring the lands. It was great.

Holocaust museum was great, minus the depression. The End.

La la lala, Spring is in the air and I'm a flower with nothing interesting to say.

Spring is great. The indications that spring is on it's way is snow slowly melting away the days and nights are getting warmer and more humid. That is my favourite kind of weather. Misty warm mornings... just the best.
My birthday is in the spring time so... yay.
"They call it daylight savings but do they calculate the cost?" Sweet song.
ANYWAY! The assembly today was the best an assembly can get which isn't saying much but at the same time it's saying a lot... ya know?!
I would have enjoyed it much more if he didn't recycle some of his jokes that he told two years ago like the trip over cracks 'n stuff.
Also the ending story, though touching, seemed staged I don't think any kid in high school would be saying things like "It's waying heavy on me and I need someone to help carry the weight."

Whelp! That is all. Good assembly. A Bug's Life rocks. Spring is great 'cept the rain.

Politics in Schools.

Well, with Co-Prez speeches within the next hour I guess it's fitting to talk about 'em.
I think there is no politics in schools it's just pretty pointless and I'll talk about why soon enough.
School don't need Co-Presidents. Straight up. What do they do? What has anyone in the past done that you really noticed around the school? Recycling bins in the halls? I don't even know if that is something the Co-Prez's have done. My point is that the Co-Prez's are pointless.

Oh yes, the Co-Prez elections are definitely a popularity contest because if you're promising stupid shit that no one cares for but you're friends with everyone in the school then you've got it in the bag. But if someone not as popular runs but has great ideas they may as well give up while they're ahead.

I am not voting today because I haven't for my entire time at this school and I don't want to break the Co-Prez tradition... also I don't have a student card but I still wouldn't vote even if I did.

What the world needs now is...

     Dear, Wolverine

I know that we've been fighting in this epic battle for quite some time and I understand we will be fighting again on the 15th. We've called each other names, you've had me broken and bruized, I've had you begging for mercy but, there's something I need to say.
We need to put this senseless fighting aside because, well, I love you Wolverine! I always have. The way your claws shine in the high beams of Doctor Doom's massive flying carrier, the way you're anger is conveyed through your brute strength. The way you always know what I'm going to hit you with next may it be a Shoryuken or Hadouken you perservere through it all. I guess I just thought... we could maybe, team up this time around and be partners... or more. I know I have Ken but I don't care!
I needed you to know this. It's been weighing heavy on me ever since I first layed my eyes on you on October 4th, 1996 in X-Men vs Street Fighter.
So, on February 15th, we'll meet on the battlefield you, a mutant. Me, a street fighter. If you don't feel the same way I understand and we will continue this rivalry that we've kept up for decades or you can come and meet me half way on these feelings and together we can conquer all.

Sincerely, your lover and rival, Ryu. xoxo

Nevermore.

http://www.heise.de/ix/raven/Literature/Lore/TheRaven.html

This poem, written by Edgar Allen Poe, is titled The Raven it is definitely without a doubt his most well known poem. Or the most well known in the world.
Hell, Simpsons did a parody on it!

Alright, I chose this poem for it's suspense as the man tries to hide from his fears and tension between the character and the Raven.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!'
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!'
Merely this and nothing more."

That right there is a perfect example of the suspense in this poem. It's just so good!

"But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore -
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking `Nevermore.'

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!"

"Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'"

BOOM! The tension between the Raven and the main character is palpable. So pretty much this is awesome. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys poetry. I don't even enjoy poetry that much yet this poem just gets to me... it's powerful.

If you can't read without pictures like me, then check out this awesome version of The Raven with art by Ben Templesmith!
Templesmith has great and unique art. Look 'im up!

Now, I don't read much poetry but The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe is my favourite poem.

Appreciate This... KAW KAW

So get this... there's a parrot who walks the sqwuak AMIRITE!? But enough about the parrot!

There is a bird who will destory the earth with one filthy look at it's majestic figure. Soaring through the air the Asian Crested Ibis flys with grace and purpose. This bird is rare as all hell and can only be found in Shaanxi province in China. The main reason for its decline is probably linked to the loss of suitable feeding grounds due to the change from rice-growing to dry wheat production.
I mean check him out! Look at how funny he looks! I'd love to kill it have it stuffed and then admire/appreciate it on March 15, Asian Crested Ibis Appreciation Day. Awwww yeeeaahh.
I guess I could hold back on the killing and stuffing.

The Art of the City

It's... ALIVE! The city I mean, graffiti usually does that to a place. This beautiful art, though sometimes just stupid, makes any old place an amazing peice of art that some could stare at for hours just to admire it. Hell, I wish these artist's had to right to tag wherever they damn please. But, I guess it depends on the quality and creativity of their graffiti.
I guess you already know my views on this topic. The people who tag walls, overpasses, bridges, whatever, they are ultimately in my eyes artists.

Writer's Craft Experience.

This is the mid-way point of the year and my marks in my classes are still complete and utter mierde.
Here's a list of the class highlights and low points:

- The assignments/activities that I find to be grand are the ones where we all come together in groups. It just makes them enjoyable at least.
- The assignments that bore me? There hasn't been an assignment that has bored me yet, except for the Red Riding Hood thing.
- The blogging is good. We do just the right amount and you don't beat us over the head with it.
- The unit I am looking forward to most is the poetry? I don't know I definately am not looking forward to travel writing.
- I don't have any complaints about the grading or course I'm just (mostly) doing what I'm told.
- My initiative... Ah yes. The thing I lack most in life. I have no initiative and therefore my marks, among other things, are terrible.
- I probably won't reflect on the class but you, the teacher. When I'm old I'll remember my teachers.  So, I guess when I'm sipping on scotch at my ripe old age I will remember if you were understanding or a huge *****. Don't worry you're in my good books.
